Launch of CIDigital: Digitalization of Curriculum Implementation

by: Adrian C. Hernandez, Head Teacher, Ilaya Barangka Integrated School

Data collection of SDO-Mandaluyong is going virtual.

In line with the efforts of the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID), headed by Dr. Alyn G. Mendoza, to consolidate data efficiently for better and effective decision-making, SDO-Mandaluyong launched CIDigital: Digitalization of Curriculum Implementation last February 18, 2019 at The Legend Villas.  It is a first of its kind initiative program of CID that will virtualize the curriculum implementation in the division.

Aside from efficient consolidation of data, this program also aims to minimize bureaucracy and eliminate redundancy in data collection.  In addition, this program plans to create consistent location of resources across the division.

To achieve these, the CID tapped Mr. John Darryll S. Mercado, Information Technology Officer I, to create Teachers’ Resources Portal, an online site powered by Google Suite for Education.

In this portal, all public school teachers in Mandaluyong can encode information needed by the CID.  For now, initial available dashboards include Teacher’s Profile, Training Attended, Self-Assessment Tool (SAT), Classroom Observation Tool and LAC Sessions.  Teachers can expect additional comprehensive dashboards in the portal as the site is being developed. It will also become a learning resource portal where teachers can easily download resources and LRDMS-approved instructional materials created by Mandaluyong teachers.

CIDigital is a great extensive tool that will benefit not only the Curriculum Implementation Division but also the different sections and units of SDO-Mandaluyong in creating meaningful programs to better serve the teachers and to provide quality education to all Mandaleño students.
