CARRY ON: SDO-M’luyong expands online services

WITH the restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Schools Division of Mandaluyong City through the ICT Unit has expanded its online services by launching additional application which can be accessed through its official website www.depedmandaluyong.org.

According to Dr. Romela M. Cruz, officer in-charge (OIC) of the Office of the Schools Division Superintendent (OSDS), SDO is committed to expand its engagement with various internal and external stakeholders regarding new services that were made digital and online.

“One of the strategic objectives of the Office is the automation of processes to deliver modern, professional, proactive and quality services to its stakeholders,” Dr. Cruz said.

Mr. John Darryll S. Mercado, division information technology officer, coordinated with Mr. Mark Sherwin G. Magsombol, administrative officer V; Ms. Jovy D. Balbuena, education program supervisor and in-charge of Alternative Learning System (ALS); Dr. Alyn G. Mendoza, chief education supervisor, Curriculum Implementation Division (CID); Mrs. Emma G. Arrubio, chief education supervisor, School Governance and Operations Division (SGOD) and Mr. Anthony Augusto M. Garcia, public schools district supervisor and in-charge of the Division News and Editorial Board, in organizing the additional online services.

One of the additional applications in the website will be the Virtual Help Desk which aims to provide responses to immediate concerns of teachers, parents, learners and stakeholders.

ALS Online Registration will be also be part of the website’s menu to receive data of learners interested in the ALS, establish a division-led referral system to strategically manage learners in ALS learning centers and manage a database of learners for data management and monitoring services.

To ensure maximum access of teachers and learners on the division’s curriculum interventions, Learners Online Portal will be part on the online services.

Meanwhile, teaching and non-teaching personnel may avail online consultation on their health and dental need via Manda Teleconsultation Hotline.

Furthermore, Talamitam, the Division’s official newsletter, will be available online via www.talamitam.online to keep the learning community informed with the latest programs, projects and activities of the division and schools’ best practices.
