12 qualifies for Basic Education Research Fund (BERF) grants

THE SCHOOLS Division Office of Mandaluyong City through the School Governance and Operations Division (SGOD) has announced that 12 of its 21 action researches submitted for the regional screening qualified to be Basic Education Research Fund (BERF) grantees for 2021.

According to Mrs. Emma G. Arrubio, SGOD chief education supervisor, 12 of 156 BERF grantees in the region were from Mandaluyong City after passing the criteria set by the Department of Education (DepEd).

Andres Bonifacio Integrated School (ABIS) topped the division entries with three qualifiers followed by Isaac Lopez Integrated School (ILIS) with two grantees.

Other BERF grantees were from Addition Hills Integrated School (AHIS), Highway Hills Integrated School (HHIS), Mandaluyong High School (MHS), Jose Fabella Memorial School (JFMS), Ilaya Barangka Integrated School (IBIS), Eulogio Rodriguez Integrated School (ERIS) and Hulo Integrated School (HIS).

Approved action researches tackle different topics based from DepEd-National Capital Region’s research priorities like teaching and learning, human resource development, child protection, governance, disaster risk reduction management, gender development and inclusive education.

“We want to promote a culture of research in the Division,” Mrs. Arrubio said during a Kumustahan with the BERF entries. “So, we are encouraging our officials and teachers to come up with their action researches.
