THE PRAYERS of Kinder to Grade 3 (K-G3) Batang ATRESians and guardians were answered when the resumption of limited Face-to-Face (F2F) classes in Amado T. Reyes Elementary School (ATRES) commenced on Feb. 9, 2022, almost two years after the suspension due to pandemic.

The excitement and joy felt by learner-participants were evident when some reported to school as early as 5:50 am despite early pronouncements that learners should come to school 30 minutes before the start of classes at 7:00 in the morning.

As the community yearns for further expansion of the F2F classes to Grades 4-6, classes in the primary grades have shown strong indicators of ATRES’ capability of handling the challenges of the situation through the school’s serviceable classrooms, students who have developed the habit of coming to school with masks and shields and teachers who have instilled among the learners’ health protocols like the washing of hands, sanitizing often and maintaining a safe distance.

Providing quality and safe education to Batang ATRESians has established connections among the school administrators, teachers, parents, and learners making the learning process doable and supportive of the health and safety protocols accorded by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF).

The opportunity to experience this gradual come-back from home-based to in-person learning is a result of ATRES being chosen by the Schools Division Office (SDO) as one of the schools to pilot the limited  F2F classes.

To get a permit for the conduct of F2F classes, all stakeholders worked to meet the requirements and conditions specified in the School Safety Assessment Tool (SSAT)

The school credits the hard work of teaching and non-teaching staff, the hands-on technical assistance provided by the SDO, full support from Barangay Local Government Unit (LGU), parents, private organizations, and City LGU as the main factor in meeting the requirements for the implementation of limited F2F classes.
