NDFES launches ahead the start of classes; establishes rapport thru meet-and-greet activities
TWO DAYS AHEAD the beginning of school year, Nueve De Febrero Elementary School (NDFES) conducted a soft opening of classes through “Teachers and Students Connect: An Elementary Meet and Greet”, July 27.
Aside from the casual meet-and-greet for the learners and teachers, the said Saturday activity aims to prepare the learners socially and emotionally by proper orientation and introduction to school and classroom practices.
“This meet and greet establishes early bonding for the learners and teachers,” Dr. Elvira R. Canilao, school principal said. “Pagpasok nila sa Monday, wala nang masyadong gulatan kasi na-meet na nila kahit papaano ang kanilang mga guro at kaklase.”
Meanwhile, Aquisha Kylie Condiño, Supreme Elementary Learners Government (SELG) President shared her experience earlier.
“The meet and greet was enjoyable and fun. Meeting our new class adviser excites me and I am hoping for fun-filled school year, ” she said.
Each grade level from Kinder to Grade 6 were given an hour to do the classroom orientation where books, notebooks, socks and other school supplies from the local government were also distributed during the activity.
