Stakeholder sets handwashing facility for HHISians
A NON-GOVERNMENT organization (NG0) has installed a handwashing facility through an outreach project “Clean Hands, Save Lives for Highway Hills Integrated School (HHIS) learners to secure their health by frequently washing their hands.
According to Abigail Perez, OPEC Chairman, Mlhuiller has been in its mission nationwide to look for educational institutions to give back to the community through outreach programs.
The said facility is of great help in the school’s implementation of Department of Education’s Wash in Schools (WinS) under DepEd Order No. 10, s. 2016) that sets into motion the mechanisms to ensure that Philippine schools promote health-seeking behaviors not only in principle but more importantly in practice.
More than 5,000 HHISians will benefit from the said project as the NGO chose HHIS since more population needs better facilities.
Meanwhile, almost 70,000 pesos were spent by the non-government organization to put up and beautify the said facility.
