STARS ARE ALIGNED: SDO-M’luyong young scientists ace reg’l sci fair
SOLIDIFYING its reputation as a hub for scientific excellence, the Schools Division of Mandaluyong City roared to its winningest podium finish in the recently concluded 2024 Regional Science and Technology Fair held at the Quezon City Science High School (QCSHS), Quezon City.
Bannered by the City of Mandaluyong Science High School (CMSHS), SDO-Mandaluyong secured a National Science and Technology Fair (NSTF) ticket as Rhianah S. Sulit bested her competitors in the Physical Science – Individual category.
Sulit, with her research adviser Ms. Crizel Jusain Peligrino, will represent DepEd-NCR to the national competition to be held in 2025.
According to Ms. Roxane S. Villanueva, education program supervisor in Science, the annual competition aims to provide an avenue for all science enthusiasts to showcase their competence in addressing community problems for sustainable development.
Villanueva also thanked the local government of Mandaluyong for allocating funds to Project IRIS or the Intensified Research Initiatives in Science, to further improve the research outputs of the students.
